Well, before you try to “take another crack” at it, I would suggest that you reconsider your approach and perhaps consider taking the exam again. What I am about to share with you, could very well be your one and only chance to ensure your success.
I have taken the NCLEX nine times now, and I just took my ninth NCL exam. I never dreamed that it would be this easy to clear the test. But it was.
I really think that taking the NCLEX exam more than once in a row is not a good idea. You could easily slip up and forget the few little details you knew before. This is not good for you, as the outcome would not be favorable.
There is no secret about the NCL Exam, you simply need to study. Take your time, keep a little time to yourself and read every word of the test and memorize them. Start reviewing from scratch after the test.
Make sure that you study for certain questions or types of questions and not to over practice. Don’t get too excited and try to do all your revision before the actual exam.
It is highly recommended that you get into a program that allows you to take your NCL exams one at a time. You can study at your own pace and review what you know by the time comes to take your exam. However, once you find a program that works for you, keepit and repeat.
Use a study book that is designed for the specific format of the NCL. I recommend The National Council Licensure Board (NCB) Study Guide, by Rob Heath, MD. It has a great explanation of the many different topics you will encounter.
There are a number of books that you can purchase online that provide extra insights into the NCL. I highly recommend these books to everyone who wants to improve their scores.
If you cannot take the NCLEX one time, do not be discouraged. The great news is that you can take it again with practice tests offered online. But make sure that you have access to these tests, as the benefits will not be realized if you do not.
I recommend going through the material again just to make sure that you really know what the NCL is. At first, you will wonder what you are doing, but in time, you will start to realize just how easy the material is. When you finally understand the material and practice it, I guarantee that you will ace the exam.
